Who We Are

About M.B.K. BLOC

Let Us Make Men

M.B.K. BLOC (My Brother's Keeper Brothers, Leaders, Optimist. Champions) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall development and empowerment of men, with a special focus on young men. Our mission is to unite men through brotherhood, teamwork, mentorship, and community service while cultivating the values of leadership, responsibility, and integrity.

Today, we continue the mission of developing men into strong supporters, protectors, leaders, and pillars within their families and communities. Through guidance, fellowship, and positive role models, we seek to inspire personal growth and create lasting change.

Our Story

Bishop Timothy Goree (then Pastor Timothy Goree) actualized his vision for M.B.K. BLOC in 1991. Drawing from his experience he began hosting men's meetings, youth core programs, and organizing young people to attend rallies with organizations like D.A.R.E.

These youth programs — Success Incorporated, Soul City Central, and R.O.R.R Youth Group — had become safe havens for the many people who would have otherwise fallen through the cracks.

After spending years being his brother's keeper, he finally officiated his vision, putting M.B.K. on the map.
